Artificial Intelligence has always been a topic of immense interest to me. Imagine if your fridge restocks itself, your automatic car arrives right when you step out of your house, or you can complete all your routine work with a single click. Sounds interesting, doesn’t it?

Sometimes, innovation in technology takes the world by storm. One such innovation, an AI tool— the talk of the town— Of course, is the ChatGPT. ChatGPT has become grist to the mill.

Well, what is ChatGPT? Why is everyone talking about it? 

So, ChatGPT is a blockbuster bot released by OpenAI. It is a cutting-edge AI system that produces text answers resembling human language. Actually, ChatGPT is powered by a vast corpus of conversational text and operates via the GPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer) model. And this is what makes it possible for this fantastic AI tool to respond to questions and present information in a way identical to human interaction.

The rate of advancement in AI is incredible, and tech companies are continuously on the lookout for quick review procedures, but the objective is to make the correct judgments and deploy AI models and solutions that best serve our community.

Other tech companies like Meta also launched a chatbox following GPT’s footprints. Nevertheless, Meta's Blenderbot was boring, in contrast to the immediate sensation that ChatGPT became, with over a million users in its first five days. Well, the reason is quite evident— Blenderbot is made safe. It is too cautious about content moderation.

The spike of interest in ChatGPT is putting pressure on IT giants like Google and Meta to move quickly and putting safety considerations to one side.

Chatbots like GPT use a large amount of data and sophisticated computational methods to generate predictions about how to connect words in meaningful ways. They have access to a huge vocabulary and are very adept at contextual word understanding. It enables them to mimic speech patterns and convey encyclopedic information.

I think the worst-case scenario for human employment with Chat GPT adoption is job loss owing to automation and AI-powered systems becoming more competent in completing activities formerly performed by humans. It's crucial to remember, though, that AI can also lead to the creation of new work prospects, and that its effects on employment will probably be complicated and multidimensional. 

You must be wondering if you should be worrying about your job, right? As AI becomes more prevalent, there are worries that tools like Chat GPT may displace numerous occupations, including those of journalists, programmers, and creative writers. Although ChatGPT may produce reliable and logical replies, it is still far from becoming a job-killer. 

I think there is a lot of buzz around ChatGPT, and products like this have potential, but they are no magic and can not do everything. ChatGPT does, in reality, have its limits. The present output quality contains a lot of disinformation, making it less credible in addressing complex problems. However, if properly welcomed and used, it may free up more time for people to concentrate on higher-value jobs that demand innovative thinking and problem-solving.

Moreover, proactive measures such as training and education for people to gain new skills and adapt to changing employment markets can be adopted to counteract any negative consequences. 

I would say if we consider using this incredible AI tool for our job, let us do it properly and prudently. Too much reliance on technology can destroy our ability to think, and you know there is nothing worse than that.
